Colleague Lennon Choi and I accompanied Mr. Ricky Wong, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wheelock Properties, to visit the HKU High West MiC project on 10 July 2026.

Wilson Lu and Lennon Choi accompanied Mr. Ricky Wong, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wheelock Properties and the development team to visit the HKU High West Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) project on 10 July 2026. The visit was guided by Dr Louis Chu, Deputy Director of HKU Estate Office. The High West MiC project has been deployed by the Government as a pilot project to demonstrate that MiC technology can also be applied to private property development. The High West project has adopted a lot of technologies from HKU, including Prof. Lu’s blockchain system for e-inspection. Prof. Ricky Wong is also an adjunct professor of our Department.
